NISA Nation Announces Activation of Upstate New York Region

Published Feb 6, 2024

CHICAGO (February 6, 2024) – NISA Nation today continues its mission to create a nationwide pathway-to-professional league with the activation of the Upstate New York Region.

Multiple clubs have signed agreements to play a Spring Season beginning in April, with space for more clubs to join. The Upstate N.Y. Region will feature as many as 10 clubs in the Spring Season.

“We are building NISA Nation in regions that have a need for a standards-based growth model,” NISA Nation Director Matt Morse said. “Upstate New York, from Albany to Buffalo, Binghamton to Erie, remains a top pipeline of talent and clubs in the U.S. That fits well with our plan to build strong groupings in regions where independent clubs want to be a part of NISA Nation. These clubs deserve to be in an open system of professional development.”

NISA Nation, a full-year league providing independent clubs a groundbreaking pathway to professional status, launched in 2021 with regions from coast to coast.

The Upstate N.Y. Region will feature a group of clubs that includes Binghamton FC, United Elite Krajisnick FC and Roc City Boom, with more clubs to be announced in the coming days.

The Upstate N.Y. Region schedule will be released in March. More NISA Nation regions will be announced soon.
